Open Board Flights

Post by Redhmt »

Hi Guys,
Joined Globe yesterday and after looking around the site I have a couple of questions......

On the open board flights page if I accept a flight how long do I have to complete it before I get into trouble, I ask as I want to do one of them but will not really get the time until weekend, if I was to accept one of the flights tonight would I get into trouble if I did not fly it until Saturday?

On the same page some flights are listed as available and some unclaimed, what does that mean & can I accept one of the unclaimed flights if I wanted.

On a side note, does anyone know of a good tutorial for the RFP 747, as I have it but have never tried it as I prefer the PMDG but since this VA is primarily 747 I thought I would give it a shot.

Thanks

Phil

For open board flights they should be completed within the week they are scheduled for. If you are unable to complete it within a reasonable amount of time just notify your RM that you know time is running out on it but that you will have it completed soon. If you are selecting a flight to do this weekend that's fine.

Unclaimed flights are essentially discarded and no longer available. You can take any unclaimed/available flight by clicking on Available.

I think there's a tutorial in the RFP manual but I'm not positive. Otherwise try a search on avsim or flightsim.com. I'm sure others here will have a better answer for you on this one.

Thanks for the fast reply Justin, I just wanted to make sure I did not get into bother, oh well, time to go off and find a flight.
