"To All, Yesterday on September 3, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at the Commander Pacific Fleet Boat House, Pearl Harbor Hawaii, I retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years, 3 months and 16 days. A profession I held since I was a teenager. I've had alot of good times and will have more. The people I've met along the way helped me in ways they may never know. They helped me become a better person. I have learned alot about myself along the way and realized that I have alot left to learn which makes the future bright. I have been honored to have been allowed to serve you and my country and the U.S. Navy. I've got some tricks up my sleeve, so we will meet again. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives. Best regards, BMC(SW) Douglas D. Phillips, USN retired Anti-terrorism / Force Protection Instructor"
