"I'm conducting a last test of the bid system. Please visit the following page and place a bid at your easlier possible convenience. Also, please leave your suggestions here on how the page could be improved. I tried to make it as easy as I could. The process is like this: pick bids, then confirm them if you didn't get any 'couldnt get this route' messages. I really appreciate the help. The only step we've skipped here is the 'waiting' for your bid time, which I _know_ works fine, tested that enough [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif[/img] Thanks again. Hi Jeff The system works well although I didn't realise that our roster with 'time until bid' was below the dropdown boxes until after I had confirmed my bid and the page had refreshed. Will this be on a different page when the system is activated? It was easier and quicker than before. Another fine technical advance for Globe Cargo. Chris

"Hello Chris, The reason you saw it that way was this: When you go to that page, and your bid time is NOT available, you will see a message saying so... instead of seeing the bid drop-downs. Then you will see the schedule under the message. Hope this clears it up."

"well being that only a small handful of people did bid as I requested... the test wasn't as successful as I thought it would be. I don't mean my pages didn't work, I just mean that people don't read the forum or don't care. Either one makes for trouble. Anyhow, here's the results of the bid process. <a href='http://www.globecargo.org/view_assignme ... ?nextmonth' target='_blank'>http://www.globecargo.org/view_assignme ... xtmonth</a> Looks kind of odd but when you allow bidding PER week, it's going to have the potential to be ugly... just keep in mind, most people will pick the same one for each week, like I did, so you just see 1 line. Okay, looks like it all works thus far though... will be going live within a week or two for the real bid process.... hope people learn to read the forum soon!! [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img] As we go, I will add more functionality such as emails as your bid time opens, emailing mass emails when bid stuff begins, etc... but for now, just stay tuned to the forums."
