"Hi guys, I just want to inform you - PMDG has announced, that they are currently working on the B747-400F! Visit this page for more informations: PMDG 744F I know that this product will never reach the level of our B742 BABY , but I am quiet sure that it will be a nice addition for my cargo hangar! Best Regards Michael"

"Too bad they are offering it as an update... can you say ""mo money"". Do you think if we all ask nicely, they will do a Globe Gargo livery for us? Thanks for the info though!"

"I'm going to buy it, but when I'm flying for Ralph's virtual line I'll be in my 742. All that talk of complicated systems, pffft. If you can get the RFP started from cold and dark that PMDG 744 should hold no mysteries for you "
"I'm going to attempt to fly legs as accurately as possible by flying the correct airframe for the appropriate leg. I *think* Atlas/Polar have retired their 742F's to mostly domestic routes (like KMIA to KORD and the like), and are using the 744F's on the long trans-oceanic/continental. I haven't seen any of their 742's internationally for some time, save for maybe one or two."

Personally I cannot wait for it to be released!! I will enjoy the base model until the F expansion is released
We do plan on adding the PMDG 744F (F model only!) to our fleet. This, however, will not be required while RFP will be. Details are yet to be determined and will probably be a while before we settle on the whole thing. But so far all the talk has been to bring in the 744F. Justin"

And rightfully so, it is an amazing airplane. Good news about the F being allowed, I wonder when PMDG will actually release it, my guess is another month at least after the base model. It will give me time to practice at least"

"Alas, 742... when all others abandon you, I'll still love you... When I was at Delta Virtual, I was in the DC-8 program. I luv the Olde Gals. If I do fly a 744F route, I'm gonna manually load my position into the IRS be jabbers! And a pox on all those caught using autoland when the weather is above CATIII!!!!"

"Ha Ha.. some of you guys sound like my Father. He made similiar comments about calculators when I was about twelve (I'm 47 now) He would say... ""How the heck are you gonna learn how to add and subtract if that machine is doin all the work???"" I ALWAYS use as much automation as possible... when I want to hand fly, I load up the Cessna! "

"Hi Fellow Polar/Atlas Pilots I too am excited in the release of the 744 from PMDG. I think it will raise the bar again on Flight Sim, which is great. I will and will always still fly the 742, but also look forward to flying the 744 with Polar/Atlas colors just like in real life as they do. So I still feel good about flying both the 742 and 744 with Atlas/Polar. I believe it will increase my knowledge on both aircraft and increase awareness of Polar/Atlas flights to other Flight Simmers as well. But Yes, I will never abandon being part of this team of dedicated pilots. Best, "
