Personally I cannot wait for it to be released!! I will enjoy the base model until the F expansion is released <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> This is a bit of topic, but I never expected this to happen: today PMDG announced the 747-400 ready for sale, and a few hours later the AVSIM-forums are down and PMDG had to (temporarely) close down their forum as well as their e-commerce site. The heavy traffic has melted the servers it seems!!!!!!! Time to install an EGT gauge on those servers!!!!! Greetings, Wijnand (EHBK)"

The release came out overnight, I checked at 6am CDT, saw it was available, tried to buy it, and the server was already too saturated at that point to even get to the checkout page. I figure the rest of the US is in the same boat if they got up later than I did. Fortunately I have the patience to wait a few days before I attempt to have a go at getting it again."

At that time it was still night in the USA and canada, so PMDG will be busy !! They have stated that from august 3, 0300Zulu they will have installed extra servers to fit the high demand. I have seen a lot of releases, and a jammed website for a couple of hours is all in the game, but AVSIM forums out is a new one to me!!!!!!!! Wijnand."

"Yesterday I did KATL/RJAA non-stop (yes, even I got the non-stop to work! <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> ) so after that hard days work, I spent 2 hours this morning *trying* to first pay for and second download my new personal, private transport <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> I just finished the first joy ride from KPAE to KPAE as an acceptance flight to make sure everything works. Now I'm going to fly KPAE/KMSP for the delivery flight (flying NWA new colors), after that I'm going to fly KMSP/RJAA as flight NW19, the only 744 flight out of KMSP (there are often two 744 flights/day, just that both go to RJAA). The visual model is absolutely outstanding, the panel is also very good but I just need to take a little time to get used to pulling up the different panels. If I can fit all that in between classic flights <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> Justin"

"one add on a month... that's all I can afford, problem is the number of great add-ons all comign out right now... WHICH ONE TO PICK?!?!?!? The PMDG is on the list, but not very high up there because I already have a 747 and getting another model of the same general type of aircraft comes AFTER buying a aircraft radically different from the ones I have.(such as the cirrus, if eaglesoft hurries up)"

"I hear there are a few minor bugs in the release, thats a shame, but expected considering the short beta time, the demand by many people to release it at their command, etc. Its a few hours past the deadline when they said to check back... hopefully sometime today everything will go back up so I can fly her tonight!"

"I bet if I wait an extra day I can get the debugged version <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> I'm also hearing that the PMDG 744 is actually running independent of FS9, and that it is only using the FS9 scenery. I don't know enough about FS9 to understand how that would work. All parameters are within 1% of the real aircraft. Everyone is just raving about the thing. At $55 for the base, and probably $35 more for the freighter upgrade, it better be good <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo-->"

"Its an awesome add-on. Could use a patch though to fix a few minor issues, but in general it is awesome!!!!!! Beautiful looking VC She is a monster, definately the Queen of the skies. Takeoff was a breeze, crusing at .86 mach was awesome."
