"I have seen a few posts concerning the PMDG 744F. To me this will add more options to our VA. I still love the RFP 742. It is a real challenge, and a very fun aircraft to fly. It is a true thoroughbred among payware add-on aircraft. There is no reason whatsoever to discontinue its use here. But using both will definitely bring an exciting mix of routes, cargo types and destinations. Routes and desitnations can be designed to use each aircraft in the most cost effective manner."

"Hi Dan, As I'm sure you've read, we will be adding the PMDG 744F to our fleet. Exactly how we will operate it is still to be determined. I hope to have everything ready to go on our end before it is released but I can't gaurentee that. Justin"

"Well just saw the article on the new 400, and granted, it is interesting... I just don't know if I can pry myself loose from my 200! <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> I really do like the RFP as most of us do.. I would like to see someone fly the 400 for a while and do a total comparison review. Ralph? You flown it much yet? I just guess I am biased, never thought anything would come out to compare to RFP. I haven't even touched any of my other aircraft in FS since having RFP.."

"When the PMDG 744 was first released I logged a couple hundred hours with it and had some fun during the process. It wasn't long though that I thought I would have to take up smoking again to occupy my time when I was getting bored. It is without question a much easier aircraft to fly and after you have the FMC fully programmed, just sit back and let it handle things for you. It is hard to compare apples and oranges as both have their assets and bring something new to the simulation."

"Well I understand that, I will probably get it, just not in a big hurry. I didn't think the textures looked quite as good as RFP, especially the wheels, but then again, I am picky and have gotten very used to RFP."

"I agree with Ralph on this,PMDG are great aeroplanes but by and large they fly themselves! I have the 737ng series plus the 800/900 and I hardly fly them anymore ,all my hours are clocked up now in the 742 with the occassional light relief in a Piper or Cessna or for a close as it gets experience the DC3! "With respect and having enjoyed the RFP742 since version 2 I wonder if some opinions expressed are actually from first hand experience with the PMDG 744. After some hours with the PMDG the biggest difference (out of many) for me is the VC. It's the first aircraft I've ever used where the VC feels totally immersive and gives the feeling that your actually in a cockpit some stories up rather then sitting on the yoke in front of a flat panel. With Track IR and the PMDG VC it's impossible to go back to a 2D panel again. Regards, David "

"I agree with David. The PMDG plane is techincally very solid work. One of the best planes I've seen. And this is not to say that I do not enjoy RFP, because I do, a lot! But now there are three planes that I absolutely love to fly, not just one <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo--> And they are: RFP, PSS Concorde, and the PMDG 744. Well, just my 2 cents, anyway. Petri"
