"I have just acquired a Saitek X52 joystick + throttle. I am overwhelmed by the numerous buttons, switches, sliders, 3 hats, etc. There is a preset profile for FS2004 but I don't like it that much. <a href='

"It's US$109.99 at Best-Buy and Circuit City. I 'm starting to figure it out. You can program up to three modes (well, six if you use the pinkee). So, mode 1 could be all the buttons you need for taxi and takeoff, mode 2 for cruise, and mode 3 all the buttons for approach and landing. This way, a particular button can have multiple functions depending on the phase of the flight. You can then save your setups as profiles, such as a setup for RPF2, one for PMDG 737NG, one for turboprops etc. So many buttons, so little time... <!--emo&--><!--endemo-->"

"Hi, I have had this joystick now for about 4months and i could never goi back to anything else. I have programmed it to use my own buttons. If you calibrate it well you can get the throttles to use reversers too...!! Also i mainly have auto pilot / trim / gear / flap settings on it..At the end of the day you can set up in a way you want. Use tthe Profile manager so you can save it.. <!--emo&;)--><!--endemo--> Good luck.. Cheers Robbie"
