"Hello All , Very new here , not done much at all since joining the forum , will be up in the air soon though , but have one question regarding the performance and settings for all pilots ... Is it possible to fly the RFP742 for GC , on IVAO , with a medium range computer specs ? I have tried already just doing "" fake , test "" flights , but it seems , take-off and climb are fine , but after another 2 hours or so in the cruise , FS starts to stutter and the popup windows dont load as fast , and this is still during the cruise , by the time i try to descend and land , the framerates dont do me any favours trying to make a decent landing. And this is only with a couple of hours cruising , I dont want to imagine cruising like that for more than 4 hours , then STILL having to attempt to land in bad frames. I think i already know the answer to this related Q as well , but i would like to ask anyway ... Do the small programs like FSACARS and FSFlightKeeper take up very little resources ? ( I would imagine yes , and they are nothing to worry about in the general frames ) Or can this become a problem with certain settings ? Thanks very much and good to meet you all. Calum"

"<!--emo&:o--><!--endemo--> that sounds like how my computer acted before. I could not fly the rfp at all, and the pmdg 737 was very much a slide show at any busy airport , like katl or klax.... Have you upgraded to fs9.1, that helped somewhat, but upgrading from 512ram to 1024 really helped a lot and made the aircraft flyable. But now with flightkeeper, fdc, cvins, etc...etc... im thinking of adding more memory still. I have found when doing the globe flights, to very much just have the computer do that, i mean , dont try doing other stuff during those long hauls, like surf the net, download, open various other programs, seems to cause fs to crash at the most inconvienent times... <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> What are your computer specs....? ed mosier 1287"

I recently purchased it and it just keeps freezing, even with RFP the Frame Rates are,nt really satisfactory so I,ve ordered a new memory Module 512 mb ddr , which will put me upto 1024 mb, as I have only 2 memory Slots on the Motherboard , if I had three i could push it upto 1280 mb which would be about right, but we will see how it goes, but the prices of 1 Gig Modules are pretty high even on Ebay! now that would be a decent Memory 2 gig! <!--emo&B)--><!--endemo--> Safe landings, Mike <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo-->"
