"Hi Guys I,ve mentioned this problem in the past about sudden fuel loss, but now it,s happening every time ! I have made four attempts to start my latest Bid Flight -EHAM-RKSI- which is about 4.500-5200 depending on the Flight Plan IT happens Cold start or Default start with the engines running, do my pre-checks etc check the fuel and the Left Auxiliary Tank is down to 0.3% ,try refuelling via the FS System, lasts 5 mins and we are back down to 0.3%, stop the Engines , refuel, restart and within a few mins back again to 0.3%, always the Left Auxiliary, anybody any idea,s? because I have none !! <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> Safe Landings, Mike <!--emo&:angry2:--><!--endemo-->"

"I know the manual says not to use the fs fuel loader, what I do , and i dont know if it is correct, but it seems to work for me, use the fs fuel loader to remove fuel in the main tanks, to about 10% each, and empty the centre tank when i first load the plane in fs. then use the rfp fuel panel to bring the level up to what is required for the flight. I have not experienced a problem like yours, but I have lost a lot of fuel when I have used fsautostart and 4x speed. Sounds like it may be jettising fuel, maybe, but I think the jettison fuel goes into the centre tank first.\ not sure. maybe someone else has ideas. ed mosier 1287"

"From what I remember about RFP is that adding fuel via the FS menu is a big no-no. As Ed mentioned, use the fueling system on the fuel panel on RFP. It's easier to use than the FS menu. I have not experienced the symptoms of the fuel system that you describe and I use the fueling panel exclusively. When I need to get rid of fuel I use the jettison pumps which takes a very long time if the tanks are full. I guess I never really thought to us the FS system to take fuel out, maybe RFP is ok with removing fuel from the FS menu. This is probably a stupid question but you never know...the the aux tank fuel valves are CLOSED, right? Justin"

"<!--emo&--><!--endemo--> Justin, I never seemed to have a problem with taking the fuel out with fs, however, I leave 10% in, because if I empty completely, flightkeepers critique seems to hit me with low fuel penalty. ed 1287"

"You may have misunderstood me , when I say I refuel after stopping , I refuel with RFP fuel Loader, Normally when I start up FS the first thing I do is stop the engines then start from ""Cold and Dark"" but I empty the fuel tanks via FS and reload with RFP Fuel loader I never use the the Fuel Jettison Facility because of the length of time it takes, but I.ll try it that way and see if there is a difference! Thank.s Guy,s , Mike <!--emo&;)--><!--endemo--> yes, Justin the Fuel Valves are closed"

"Hi When on the ground you can unload (and load) fuel using the quick loading/unloading mini panel, directly from the main fuel one. I never go near FS fuel when using RFP... Cheers, Luc"

"Hmmm. I always start from Cold & Dark and go to the FS fuel config screen first. I empty the center tanks and put 11% fuel in the other tanks, giving me some 30,000 lbs of fuel. (I enter 11% because it's quicker to type than 10%). I then go through the entire checklist, including loading the necessary fuel for the trip via the RFP fuel panel. Never ever had a problem with fuel loss. No idea what would cause it. "
