"Just found out on the other site. Man, what a blow.
In any case, I told him we are still needing pilots!!!
I guess the 200 is now a real Classic. I will keep FS9 only to fly the 200 if it does not work on FS X."

"Hey guys...helloooo  . Has anyone read this about Ralph getting done with RFP? I mean guys, he is the founding father of the addon that has brought us all together here at Globe. I'm not seeing any reaction to this at all. I know we can't do a whole lot to change his mind probably but I'm more than a little surprised to not see even one reaction to Louis' post of a couple of days ago or any reaction at all on the RFP forum. I really refuse to believe that the majority of the pilots here are moving on to the 744. Is that what is happening? Hey, I'll be the first to admit that I divide my time evenly now with the 744 and the Classic but doesn't anyone else care that there isn't going to be an official RFPv3 in our future? No more Classic? Mark"

"Just be careful Mike, I think that there was a slight misunderstanding between Ralph and the rest of the team."

Could it be that they may wait until FSX is released to move forward with a new version? I'm not sure it would make sense to continue with V3 in light of FSX's pending release.

Thanks for the info Louis i will tread lightly...just thanking him for his work... Nathan it seems that some distributors of his cd version are not paying him or his team the royalties he is due from sales..that is the reason he has given up on V3...

Hi Louis, the only explaination everybody got, including me, is this:
<!--coloro:#3333FF--><span style=""color:#3333FF""><!--/coloro-->As the founding father of Ready for Pushback, this decision has not been an easy one to make but my goals and expectations are different than others. <!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--> So this can be interpreted in different ways...... People say that most of the FS9-add-ons will run without problems in FSX, so most likely RFP *could* stay alive in the coming generation of the sim. We will have to wait and see."

I think what Louis is refering to is the line where Ralph mentions that his ""... goals and expectations are different than others"". - In the NEWS section of the RFP forum. While an honest statement to be sure, who he disagrees with or what he means by that is a mystery. Was it a member of the RFP team?, Was it the airline that VIP was to be developed for? or was it an extention of the financial problems with EU vendors? I don't know and it doesn't matter if I know, its non of my business. What does matter to me, and the rest of us, is that our Captian has anounced that he is stepping aside. In the end, I assume Louis was just being cautious, and advising others to be as well. "
