problem sending pirep
"Hi guys, I am new and using fsflightkeep. I have chosen an open board flight, flown and sent in the perep, but I get the following error: Invalid Flight Number: EK9991 Must be a PO or 5Y flight with three digits! Example: PO123 I have also emailed it through, but still no luck, what flight number should I use? cheers ant"
"Hi Ant, welcome to gobe cargo. You can only send in as PO or 5Y. Since it is a polar open board flight, us PO, but again you cannot send 4 numbers as in PO9991. I also had trouble with a flight like this so I just dropped the last number. Not sure if it is correct, maybe one of the admins can jump in here with a solution."
I've also had no success sending PIREPs using FSFK. I only have the trial version sofar... (waiting to get the full version with the discount.) Could this be the reason. I've not seen any error messages from FSFK as of yet. I also emailed two flight PIREPs (More than the 5 hours needed to get the discount) but have yet to see anything appear next to my name. Also haven't seen any responce to my email either. Looking forward to a long "career" here at CG..
"This is what I am getting now: Warning: mysql_result(): Unable to jump to row 0 on MySQL result index 4 in /var/www/html/FlightKeeper/PIREPService.php on line 303 PIREP successfully transmitted. Visit the PIREP Details page to review your flight. I can actually see my pirep details, but the never show up on the roster. I used to code in php/mysql, but without seeing the source code there is nothing I can do. Clearly the code is looking for a field that is not there in the database, but that is not much use in soving the problem."
"If this posting is from Antonio Teixeira then please check that your pilot number is configured properly in FSFK. In your case it should be 1527. (As a suggestion, please include your full name in your forum signature so that I can easily track who has a problem...) For pilot 1527 I only see a 5 minute PIREP that was posted using FSAcars. There is nothing else in the system. The error you are getting is caused by the database not finding the pilot number that was submitted by FSFK. To enter the pilot number and other pilot information into FSFK, go to the pilot tab in the left nav bar. Click on "Edit Pilot". Make sure all the information is filled in properly including your email, pilot number and the password you use to log into the site. Then try to resend the PIREP from inside FSFK - they should be stored under the Flights tab. If you have further issues, feel free to send me an email. My address is in the sig."
"Anthony, There is no pilot 1550 (or 1551) on the active site which is at www.globecargo.org. I do see you at the new (not yet operational) site (www.globecargova.org). Sorry for the confusion. Until your region manager adds you to the operational database you will not be able to submit any PIREPs. Once you are in the system, you should have no further issues - I hope!"
