"Is the Atlas GE 742 offered to us here at VAA only allowed to use the analog panel? I saw some flight deck photos on airliners.net that showed the Atlas 742s having a tape configuration, so I went and threw in the tape panel. However, the VC wouldn't show up properly and I was having problems with my hydraulics not allowing me to extend and retract flaps. Just curious."

Unfortunately the GE model have been compiled with the anloge VC. <!--emo&:(--><!--endemo--> Actually it doesn't matter and should not effect your functionality of the aircraft. I do not use the VC anyways."

"Thanks Bodo. I don't use the VC often, but do use it when I'm not arriving at busy airports, and while at cruise. I guess I'll keep the analog panel in there as I guess it really doesn't matter as long as I can fly the plane. Now I just have to figure out why I keep getting these random hydraulic failures. Before start I turn on the AC Elec Hyd Pump, the ADP 1 pump, and all EDP pumps normal (earlier in the checklist). However, after the number 4 engine starts turning on startup I lose my hydraulic pressure completely, making it impossible to extend my flaps. #2 and #3 hydraulic quantities register off the dial, and #1 and #4 show 0. Like I said, it's random, so I need to figure out what I'm doing that is causing it."

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Well, since I have installed the FSARCAS gauge which is necessary to transmit the flight logs I have trouble with the fuel panel functions. Sometimes it emties my center tank and most annoying thing is that if you try to tranfer the reserve tanks into Main #1 and #4 you will drop their fuel instead of transfer them. It also could be a problem of FSUIPC 3.30. It is pure speculation but I could imagine that your problems could also be effected by FSARCAS or FSUIPC, I do not know......"
