Polar open board 744 vs 742

Greetings,
I just joined Globe Cargo and am preparing for my first flight, a Polar open board flight. I selected GTI8340 ETAR-OTBH flight. In looking at the expanded detail (unfortunately after I selected the flight) I noticed that the aircraft assigned is N523MC, a 742F. Since I have FSX, I can only fly the PMDG 744F. Is it permissable to use the 744 even if the flight calls for a 742?
Also, I noticed when looking at the aircraft listing for N523MC, that it's currently located in KBGR and not ETAR. Does that mean I have to await the aircraft's arrival to ETAR before I can fly this open board flight.
I've read the pilot manual and did see a reference in 3.1.4(b) that for Polar bid flights only, if the flight called for a 744F you could substitute the 742 if that is all you had but it didn't make reference to the opposite situation (substitute 744 for 742).
Thank you for clarification on this question
