when to fly flights from bid form

Hi everyone !
Just a quick question about bid flights. On my first bid for June I selected flights in week 2,3 and 4. Do I necessarily have to fly these flights in the respective week or can I fly them in any week of June? Had a lot of free time this weekend and so I flew my flights for week 2 and 3 already. Hope that´s ok !
Thanks,
Stefan

Stefan, you can fly any flight at any "real world" time you want. Just make sure you change the date/time in FS to reflect the time indicated on the flight. ie, if the flight indicates to fly it on 7 June 2010 @ 0700Z, just set that time in flight simulator.
Only word of caution on this is to make sure you keep an eye on your maximum allowable FAA hours. Though I believe this is automated now, it still helps to know how many hours of flight time you are allowed before taking off on a long haul.
Hope this helps you.

Hi Brain !
That´s good to know. Like most of us I can hardly calculate in which week of a month I´ll have enough spare time to do some nice longhaul cargo flights. That will make it a lot more flexible
Cheers,

Bryan (Brain???)
I have just suggested to Rick that he should use the actual time he is making the flight as if there is Oceanic Reporting going it makes it a lot easier when your time is on the real time.
Post is in the Sync time on the Online Flying forum.
I hope I havn't steared him wrong

Unless something has changed that I may not be aware of, standard practice was to always set FS to the time of the flight as it is posted. Justin, Craig, anyone jump in here if I'm not correct.
I just saw your post in regard to real times, that's probably going to be correct in the case of online flying. I don't see how you can really do it otherwise and have your aircraft systems avoid confusion of two times.

Yes, set FS date and time to that on the schedule of your flight. Obviously you want to set a time xx minutes earlier than scheduled departure to accomplish your preflight so as to release the brake and block out right at the time shown on the schedule.
In regards to the oceanic crossings, I don't believe we have established in the PM any official guidance on this. The proposal John has written in the other topic sounds very reasonable to me. I would add an extra step though and that is if using GCP, simply put a note in the remarks section that you have adjusted the scheduled departure time to match that days real time.
