"I asked this question a while back but didn't get an answer. I am planning my long flight for this month and I am wondering about the following: Does it really matter how close the sim time is to the actual planned flight time? I heard the sim time should be set to the flight time which would cause the FSACARS log to match the planned flight time. This does not work when flying online where actual time is used. My flight starts at 3AM which is probably not when I will fly the route <!--emo&-_---><!--endemo--> and I would really like to fly at least one leg on-line. Is there any problem with the logged time not matching the planned time? thx, Lee "

"Hello Lee, I also fly on line. I fly on the Ivao network and I never read that my FS time should be the same as the real time. As long as my weather is the same as the real weather everything will work just fine. When I fly in the evening VFR I also change my flightsim time to daytime and I never had any problems. This may be different on Vatsim and I would not understand why. Regards, Arjen"

I admit I have never tried it on Vatsim. I guess as long as the the weather matches the time is irrelevant. I just assumed the times should match. I will give it a try. Thanks! Lee
