"Hi guys, I guess this hasn't made the news yet. Polar B744 making a CATIII ILS Sat Jan 22, 2005 ran off the runway while making a CATIII ILS to 4R at KJFK. 1 injury. NTSB said not to move aircraft before they arrived which made for a painful evening with the blizzard."

"I was at JFK last weekend for a Polar flight to CYUL when the VATSIM tower operator asked if I heard about the 742 ""incident"". Maybe he was wondering if I wanted to duplicate the accomplishment <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> . I think the pilot should have insisted on 4L since he apparantly needed the extra 3000ft. "
