"HI Friends !!! In these day will be delivered a , i think, fantastic tool . It is a payware programm that allow two peopel with two different computer in two different part of the earth to pilot together the same plane like Pilot and coopilot. One day perhaps we could have our real crews:D WIthout getting bored during a patlantic cross <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo--> Talking with our captain or FO:D I think , if it works as it would, it will be a great revolution <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo-->"
"Ralph, better get working on that F/O panel <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> I would like to test this out if anyone is willing to be my F/O sometime next week <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> Justin"

"I did some testing of this program with a friend. We used a few planes from the Wings of Power product for the test so I don't know yet if it will work well with RFP or not. Maybe someone else has tested that already and would be kind enough to share their story. Here is a short review: Pros: 1. It is very cool to fly with a copilot who can manipulate props, switches, and buttons. 2. when you are the PF, there is no change in performance, your system performs just as well as if you didn't have FSNet installed. 3. Their menu system is quite easy to follow and use. 4. You have several options for your flight experience...Copilot: PF, PNF, Passenger, and you can also be a student or instructor( might be good for a training department at GC) Cons: (experienced when flying as PNF) 1. Airspeed didn't sync well, at one point my ASI indicated 10 kts higher than my friends', the PF 2. If the PNF position sync finds itself behind the PF's position it takes a ""slew"" type jump back to the synchronized position and it happens quite often. It does not actually go into slew mode, it just moves you in the same fashion as slew. (General cons) 3. If you don't have voice capability, this program will prove to create more work because rather than pushing a button you have to type (in FS's MP chatbox) what you want your copilot to do. To answer esurman's question, the program does not come with voice capability, but that doesn't mean you can't use GC's voice, VATSIM/IVAO voice, or even IM programs like MSN Messenger has voice that you can use. 4. If FS crashes (not your plane) while connected to FSNet, you will not be able to log on again until you logon to the FSNet website and reset your login. Overall, my first impression as PNF was ok. My satisfaction of the program was at about 50%. Then I took the PF position and I had more fun so my overall satifaction of this program is around 75-80%. This is a beta version so with some good input from users they will be able to improve the program. Justin"

"I've used it extensively with a friend of mine in a freeware Lockheed SuperG Constellation. I drive the bus while he uses the flight engineers panel. I've never had any sync problems using it and we have an absolute blast. I'm sure it would work with the RFP, but lets face it, we aren't making a whole lot of short hops around these parts. I'm not sure it would work out on long legs if pilot No 1 has to leave somewhere near PANC and pilot No 2 has to leave just as the aircraft approaches RJAA and pilot No 1 never came back It'd be fun to try it on a fly-in though. A couple things I already know will not sync are FMC/FMS and the CIVA INS. Other than that the PNF should be able to operate the rest in the RFP and PMDG, just as long as everyone is running the same model."
"
The last I heard is that the aircraft have to be programmed using the MS FS SDK, which RFP and PMDG has not used because the SDK is very limited in what can be done. Any part that is SDK compliant should work from what I understand but things like the RFP fuel system is not SDK compliant. The gates.to like system in FSX is the most promising as PMDG has been waiting for documentation from MS to possibly program the 744 to work with the shared cockpit. That was a couple months ago so things may have changed. I used to play around with Gates. To as well and did a few flights w/ a friend in the WoP B-29 which was completely SDK compliant. We did a real time east coast to west coast flight...took 12 hrs Justin""James1431" wrote:I've used it extensively with a friend of mine in a freeware Lockheed SuperG Constellation. "Thanks guys By the time it was posted, we had discussed it on Teamspeak, and discovered the FMS/INS issue. Sounds like the Constellation flight would be a whole lot of fun. Too bad the PMDG and RFP don't work with it. What a great way to kill time. Question though: If you are flying together, both still get the flight hours as in the realworld, right? I wonder how FSACARS and FLIGHT KEEPER log dual time "
To log time as F/O or F/E I think the policy manual states you have to be at Lee Glover's house! www.myfantasyflight.com/photogallery/leftseat.jpg
