"Hey, was just watching the video on Atlas Air, how is he getting that engine exhaust effect??? Is there something I am missing? That is cool, I turned on the smoke effects and it looked like my wingtips were shooting out steam!!! <!--emo&--><!--endemo-->"

I have recieved multiple methods in which to do this on the RFP forum. None of these are working at all. Surely it is something simple that I am doing wrong. I am not getting anything that is working.. soooooo, can anyone that is SUPER savy just copy and paste their panel config and their Aircraft config file that have the smoke effects in place to me. My e mail is bjones_77@yahoo.com If this doesn't work, I will be quiet and just fly my EPA approved no smoking engine plane! Remember, please be plain in your explanations I am just learning to mess with these config files. Sorry to post this here, but not recieving much response at RFP. Thanks for your understanding.. replace fx_nicksmoke747 with fx_nicksmokeAI_747 for all entries and it should work. that's if you downloaded Nicks' latest AI exhaust pack from avsim which is the updated one. I just realized my mistake cause it wasn't working for me either!

"Well now that I look into it, it seems this will only give you contrails at higher altitudes, no exhaust. I don't see any on my plane. The exhaust must have been added as an effect by a editing program or something "

I too have contrails but looking for the regular black smoke on take off etc... Contrails have been around for a long long time, and yes, you only get the black smoke by editing config files, etc . and that is the exact thing I have been hunting for is the ""correct"" config for the Black smoke effects.."
