GCP File

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

GCP File

Post by powellua »

I managed to start my first flight as a new GC pilot today and unfortunately ran into a CTD at TC. I went to restart FSX and GCP, but could not find the gcp file to load back the flight. Was I suppose to save my flight before I pushed back using GCP? and will the GCP file not show until you release the parking break?

Welcome to Globe Cargo,

GCP should start saving once you're over 1000FT AGL (I think) depending on how you have it set up.

When you start FSX, go to free flight then load. Load the last FSUIPC save by GCP (it will have the flight's tail number on it). Then once in the aircraft, load the panel state from the drop down menu.
When everything is up and running, start GCP and go to File ----> Load Flight and connect to FSX.

I've found GCP does not save the flights in the right folder (for me atleast) so I have to go to the installed folder and load it from the Flights folder

I went to load the flight and did find the FSUIPC. Once the flight loaded, the plane was in the correct location, but the flightplan and FMC setup was needed to continue the flight.
I went ahead and re-entered what I could and put 1/3 fuel and continued to PANC. The location of the GCP file has yet to be found. I have checked the FSX folder as well as Flight Sim folder in documents.
