CARIBBEAN 737-800 down blamed on pilot error

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

CARIBBEAN 737-800 down blamed on pilot error

Post by raa57 »

after reading this remind me to never fly this airline

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-14353610

and a small update which blames pilot error,no flaps(although there is conflicting reports on this but why raise them again before you stop makes no sense),excessive speed.touching down halfway down runway, and no reports to ATC of any problems, might as well have let one of the passengers land it by the sound of it

only good thing i see to come out of this disaster was noone was killed :D

One of the reports says that the Flaps were in the 30 degree position. Seems reasonable for a landing. I suspect it was the point of touchdown that caused the over-run mainly.
