P3D new version

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

P3D new version

Post by jfriz »

Hi Folks,
LM, releasing Version3 tomorrow. Will have to spend another $60 bucks. But, sounds like they have done a lot to help prevent the OOM's.

Hi Justin,
Not yet for the 64 bit. Getting closer though. PMDG, says they have improved the OOM problems
I bought the v3, will try to install tomorrow.
I'll be testing the B777.

Thanks Jerry. I think I'll wait until they have the 64bit worked out. Right now the only addon we'll be using that I have for P3D is the Dash 8, I can live with the last version for that for a little while.

I need to upgrade my desktop though, once I do that I'll probably make the switch over and might even get the sky high priced PMDG models for it - that's a ways down the road though.

Hi all,
Just reporting that P3D v3, is working very nice. No more OOM issues. No tweaks, all default... I am landing with almost 2GB of vas memory left. At the moment waiting for Orbix to up date their installers.
Add-ons installed, AS next , Sea, taxi-to the gate , Fai, and Anc., airports, plus the PMDG, B777, and B737, WOAI,, all working.....I see it like FS12, might have been. Maybe, no need for 64bit...

Luc, I am still on W7, W10, should be just fine though. [Just make sure you do a complete clean install]
