Dispatch Modified

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

"We are always searching for ways to make things easier. Everything happening in this phase revolves around the use of the recently introduced Dispatch Release form that Mike programmed and hopefully will be used by all pilots. Before I get into any more explanations on this there is one line in the GTI.ini and PAC.ini that needs to be altered. <span style='color:blue'>FPSite=http://www.globecargo.org/sendPlan2Acars.php</span> With that small change being made, things fall into place like this. 1. Complete a Dispatch/Release form in the usual manner and save the flight plan to your FS Flight Plan folder. 2. Print your Dispatch/Release form in the usual manner. You will also see the INS waypoints formatted at the bottom of the sheet. 3. When this is done, the Dispatch/Release form created is saved into a database so it can be used and tracked. 4. Now that the basics are done for the flight here is what happens next. 5. Load FS2002/FS2004 Position your aircraft at the departure ramp in the normal way. set flight time etc. 6. Now load FSACars. When prompted select Aircraft at Departure Airport When prompted enter the cargo weight. 7. Something new is added now: On the right side of the FSACars screen is a new option ""Flight from VA"". Click this button and the flight data will be filled in automatically. -------------------- This flight/leg is now flagged as flown. The database entry can only be used once and is always the last one on file for the pilot in question. This is the beginning of how actual flights will be tied to bids and open boards and where it goes from here is still not clear or even if all our desires can be met. In the COMMANDS section of FSACars, Mike would appreciate it if the Dispatch number could be inserted for tracking reasons. A better more automated solution may be found such as adding a field to the log file where this information could be added automatically but a solution is still to be found. "
