"<!--emo&:D--><!--endemo--> well, I got a few flights under my belt now, one to redo, and another leg to finish before I start on my bidded flight later this week. I havent touched another plane for the last 2 weeks or so now, and I must say this is a lot of fun this va stuff, although my wife complains she cannot get on the computer.... <!--emo&:P--><!--endemo--> i like this idea of a va using airplanes that we have purchased. Last year I signed up for vaircanada, but was not impressed as you need to use their aircraft which i beleive is project open sky. They want you to start out on turbo props and work your way up. Nothing wrong with that, but I want to use the planes ive purchased and globe cargo allows me to do that . I also have the pmdg 737 series and the level d 767, and of course the dreamfleat 727. All great airplanes but with no purpose to the flights i tend to abort them before i get to cruse altitude. I have been eyeing that pmdg 747 but the price seems high, if im not going to use it much, but if globe cargo plans to use it then it will be in my hanger also. This leads to the question, is there any other va s that use the payware planes, listed? Thanx Ralph and the others responsible for putting globe cargo together, I was beginning to get bored with fs, but now I am inspired again. <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> now i just have to figure out how this flight keeper works.... ed mosier 1287"

"Here, here Ed! Couldn't agree with you more. But I have to say that my other VA's allow me to use my payware aircraft. Luckily there are repaints in those liveries so it fits perfectly. I will not speak badly of Project Open Sky, Meljet, or any other freeware aircraft. They do provide better aircraft than the default FS ones. However, none of those compare with PSS, LDS and PMDG for flyability and systems modelling (wish they would do something with the sound modelling though, everyone seems to want the engines in the cockpit with them). I am not a commercial pilot so I can't speak to the realism of each. However, the Chief Pilot for one of the VA's is a real world 744 pilot and she was a beta tester for the PMDG 744."

"Ed, Try the folks at <a href='http://www.air-source.us/' target='_blank'>Air Source Virtual Pilots Union</a>! Not your typical VA. You can fly actual, real world airline schedules or any of the many special events. As for your wife and the computer; when you buy that new super wiz-bang new one, give her the old one. I did, and it works like a charm! <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo-->"

If you have the PMDG 737 series you might want to give Virtual Virgin Blue or Virtual Pacific Blue a try at www.voz.ozflight.com.au/welcome.php

Hi Ed. I see you need help with Flight Keeper. I am no expert with computer and don't know FSFK inside out but I've been using for a while a fidled with it. Since your from Oshawa and I'm from Montreal (same time zone) maybe we could meet on TeamSpeak and I could try to explain a few thing for you. Let me know if you are interested.

"I shared your concern about uysing my payware in the VA environment. I searched around and landed at Singapore VA ... the beauty of this VA is that you can fly with them (and Singapore Cargo, Silk Air)... AND any of their ""associated"" VA's ... from the Flying Tigers Group ... such as Cathay, Hawaiian, Qantas, Thai, Continental, Lufthansa, Air France, Emirates, Delta, Northwest ... AND under certain conditions with even more via some code shared airlines ... Alitalia for instance... more than I can remember at the moment ... here is the SVA site <a href='http://www.cpavirtual.org/singapore2/' target='_blank'>http://www.cpavirtual.org/singapore2/</a> ... there is a link to FTG. The beauty of this setup is: 1. many many many airlines 2. all the payware you have bought ... PSS Airbusses (particularly important since many airlines are into A320/330/340) LVL-D 767, PMDG 737 and 747, Lago Maddog, the new Majestic (Frolov) Dash 8, the F1 ATR, DF 727, Feel There ERJ 145, Stellan's DC-9 (great for many NWA domestic US and Canada flights) 3. real world schedules ... just pick a flight from the airlines site ... fly the real times .. make your route 4. they use FS Flight Keeper ... 5. your flights are logged in a central database ... from all the various member airlines 6. Only downside is a silly promotion scheme ... 2nd officer, ist officer etc ... lots of hours needed 7. you have to log one flight within the first week ... and 1 per quarter subsequently ... So ... I think I stumbled onto a great find. There are times when I like to fly other than cargo and other than the 742 ... although it is wonderful ... but I have invested lots of $$$$ in other aircraft and like to ""get some credit"" for all of that flying ... (even though it is only virtual credit .... hahahahahahahahahaha). Check it out ... I think you will be pleased with the concept. If you like the VA concept and flexability. Cheers, Paul Benoit KSAN"
"Paul, that va sounds interesting, i will check it out. Lately however all my flying time is spent with the 742, i havenot flown any other plane in 3 weeks. I bought it over a year ago, and i dont think ive used it as much as i have this last little while Louis, the last time i looked teamspeak was kaput, but now i see it is up again, I installed the program, but now i suppose i need a mic, ....now i have an excuse to buy that fancy headphone, mike combo that vibrates in your ears, i forget who makes it but i seen it at futureshop, and it had a good review on flightsim.com, i just have to convince the wife to give me her credit card... <!--emo&:o--><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:o--><!--endemo--> I think teamspeak is a cool idea, gives you someone to talk to over those long boring flights over the oceans... but i think it needs to be promoted more, maybe in the news section of the forums, maybe give free virtual air miles anywere globe flies to, jump seat of corse, for using it... <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo--> yes i am having a few bugs in the logging programs, fsacars for one, 3X flight from tokyo to lax before i could get it to save the pirep, and a flight from jfk to yyz that used 8 million pounds of fuel,... I dont think Ralph got the bill for that yet <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> probably more of a problem with me than the program... and flightkeeper, i really like the way it logs and saves everything, but it crashed on me saturday night after panc to degaul.... even after avoiding that easyjet 737 that cut me off on final...so i need to redo that one. <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> edward mosier 1287"
