"Robbie, I'm a recent newcomer myself so your questions are similar to those I was asking a couple months ago. You have just missed the bid process for December, however until the next bid opens up you are free to choose from the Polar Open Board flights or Atlas Charters (which are listed periodically in the forum). Unfortunately you have joined right in the midst of changes to our scheduled routes, as a result of these changes the open board flight page is not populated with any routes for the last weeks of Nov - this is not typical. I suggest you simply select some flights from the Polar Air Schedule for your region to get you airborne. Happy Landings "

Or can i only fly in the Europe / Middle East area..? Cheers Robbie.. <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Robbie, When you bid on a flight (starting on the 17th of the month and ending on the 22nd) the only flights that will come up for you to bid on are the flights within your region. Therefore, you can only fly those scheduled flights. However, you can fly any of the open board flights that come up, which may be in any other region, after you complete your monthly flights that you bid on. Hope this clears it up for you. If you prefer to fly flights in a region other than the one you're presently assigned to you can request a transfer. Just e-mail your regional managers and they'll be gald to help you out <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> ."

Do i have to Bid on flights...? Im happy in Europe section if i can fly throughout the world...lol...sorry if im being a pain in the butt.. Cheers Robbie. <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Actually, the Open Board Flights are ""leftover"" flights that nobody bid on during the last bidding period. They are still restricted to you region, though, so you would only see open flights for the EMEA region. If you want to fly to other parts of the world, you can either (1) request a transfer to another region after 6 months or (2) look for Atlas charter flights in the Atlas section of the forum where there is no region restriction. Barry Moorhouse, our Director of Operations, just posted a notice on this subject in the NOTAM section of the forum today. Also, make sure to read the Pilot Manual, especially the section on bidding for flights. "

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Robbie, If you go to the website front page you'll see a bar at the top which says ""Pilot Route Info"". If you hold your cursor over that a list will drop down. Click on ""Bidding Help"" and that should answer some of your questions. In short, because you were hired on the 25th of November, you missed the bidding period. Because of this, Globe asks that you fly at least 1 Open Board flight before the next bid period. Now, I know there aren't any there right at the moment but if some do come up, go ahead and take one. When bidding opens up next month on the 17th, go to Pilot route info and then to pilot bid forms and place your bids. Don't forget to confirm <!--emo&;)--><!--endemo-->. Then, when January roles around, fly your assigned (bid) flight(s). They don't have to be flown on the day that their scheduled for but try to do it around that time. If you don't fly it at the exact scheduled time, just set your FS time and date to that scheduled time and date that the flight was supposed to take place. After you have accumulated 5 hours of flight time with us, contact your hub manager and they will send you the link to get the liveries for Polar and Atlas. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask. That's what we're here for. <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo--> "
