Cargo Load

"Since I am a new pilot about to take my first flight, what do I use for a cargo load (am flying the KATL-VABB route)? Dispatch is not available to provide that information. What is a typical load if I need to enter something?"

I was a little heavy and on the VABB-KATl route (sound familiar???) I hade to make one extra fuelstop. So it is up to you to watch the distance to be flown against the weight to be carried. The charterflights usually give you the expected cargoweight. Have fun, and enjoy the ride. I did a landing today at KATL (rwy 8L) in foggy conditions. Only at the last moment I got a visual. Yesterday I had also very foggy conditions at VABB (RWY 30R) and the cloud layer was at 300 ft

In addition to this the runway had no ILS - so it was a very short (6.5 NM) VFR-approach. After the shutdown I had to change my t-shirt! [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif[/img] Many happy landings!"
