"I started the PO148 flight last night (RKSI-KATL) and I am using the FSACARS for my reports. But here is what happened: Here I am at 12 hours into the flight and the FSAcars crashes on me. From what i understand i cannot resume the log within the FSAcars. Every time i do a flight i have a FS Flighttracker run in the background and then at the end of the flight i compare the results from both just for the heck of it. Now i understand that if FSACARS crashes it crashes and i don?t think i have any way to report this flight now. However I can always complete recording the flight data using the Flighttracker that at the end of flight produces 2 reports one in HTML and one in TXT. . Now here is my request: Would it be possible for the administrators to create a manual PIREP for me if I send them my Flighttracker report for this flight? For the next one I am sure I?ll be using the Flightkeeper, in hopes it is not as volatile as FSACARS and more reliable. "

"I had fsacars cash twice on me, from tokyo to lax, first time 400 nmiles out from lax, 2nd time when the flight finished, I got the dreaded message about it needing to close....very frustrating. I now got flight keeper, but not all set up yet, but yes , it would be nice if somehow I could get the log of the flight, but if not I will redo it again... ed mosier 1287"

"Talk to your Region Manager about whether or not they will accept those reports. Personally, I have felt the pain of how unreliable FSACARS can be at times and therefore I am rather generous about accepting even less than what you have to offer as a pirep. There is nothing set in stone about accepting other types of pireps so that's why I suggest you speak with your Region Manager about whether or not the non-standard pirep will be accepted. FSFK has its own quirks but it is much more reliable over a wider range of systems. When I first got FSFK it froze on me a couple times. When it was freezing I always kept the flight map open which I think was the culprit. The problem wasn't that it was open, just that it was open for hours on end. Now I open the map just to get an update on my position or examine the taxi out/in paths then I close it. FSFK hasn't frozen on me since. Justin"

Thanks! I just had it resolved with the region manager.
