In fact I used it twice before the error messages started. Can't get the settings menu. I have rebooted several times. I have also un-installed and re-installed several times with no luck. "

Hi Bill I think if Mike were able to jump in right now he would ask you to do a search and delete the entries in the registry for the GCLoader. This should allow you to set things up from scratch again. Just search the registry for GCLoader and it will come up.

RFP has the Globe and Atlas liveries. Then I downloaded the CGloader and get the same results and error messages. I am at a complete loss. This is the file. // GCLoader start - do not delete this line! // Cargo Load Data // Created by the GC Load Manager // For the 747-200 Classic (Ready for Pushback) empty_weight = 342000 max_number_of_stations = 7 Station_load.0 = 860.00, 102.00, 0.00, 0.00 // Flightdeck Crew Station_load.1 = 70.00, 107.00, 0.00, 0.00 // Personal Gear Station_load.2 = 100.00, -80.00, 0.00, 0.00 // Food Station_load.3 = <!--fh56000-->, 12.00, 0.00, 0.00 // Forward Holds Station_load.4 = <!--bh7000-->, -200.00, 0.00, 0.00 // Bulk Hold Station_load.5 = <!--ah42000-->, -120.00, 0.00, 0.00 // Aft Hold Station_load.6 = <!--md98000-->, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00 // Cargo Deck // GCLoader end - do not delete this line!"

"Not sure what has gone wrong but let's do two things. Delete the GCLoader section in the registry Look in the appropriate aircraft folder and delete the file with the extension .GCT Run the loader again, set it up being careful to highlight the correct FS configuration before saving the paths. "

"Hi again Ralph, I did not find any .GCT extensions in any aircraft folders. Something is corrupted and I just can't find it. I have even gone so far as to uninstall my winzip files, reload the winzip file locating it in a different drive and then trying another fresh loader download and the same messages show up. The error messages keep me from getting to the settings tool bar since it closes the loader program each time I am forced to click on the OK button. After about seven hours of this today I think I need a break. I think I may be forced to reformat both of my drives to hopefully get rid of the problem. Think I'll consider that option after I do my scheduled flight. Have already pulled out all of the hair I had left."

As Ralph suggested you can have a look into the registry. Please tell us what you find under HKCU/Software/Globe Cargo virtual/.... it would be good if you can state all the listed entries. If you are an experienced PC user you can also delete all entries under ""Globe Cargho virutal"" which I recommend. That ensures that you run a clean GCCentre next time you start it (You will see the Settings diolog again). If you do not delete the registry entries: If you cannot access the settings dialog that means that you probably get an error message while the splash screen is visible. If so, click ""OK"" to the error box before the splash screen desappears and then you should be able to access the settings dialog again. If that works please tell exactly what you are doing next. You are the first one who encounters such a strange problem and I am challenged to help you as soon as possible! <!--emo&:huh:--><!--endemo--> Mike "

Bill Depending on the operating system you may not find HKCU but you will find Globe Cargo Virtual and GCLoader My registry does not have an entry for HKCU and the entries in question are buried a little deeper.

The key is always found under that position. Mike"

"Well, I am about to wipe both hard drives clean and start over. I know it's a pain to re-install everything but I have discovered the following: Whenever I uninstall the loader upon reinstallation the pilot number and other boxes are already filled. The splash screen is over the error box and not under it so I can not get to the settings. I also discovered while checking FSUIPC even though I download 3.51 it defaults back to 3.50. Something other than the programs are corrupted on my computer and I think the only way to solve it is clean it completely and start over. Oh and yes I did try the downloads with my anti-virus off. Same results. One last thing I may try to get a fresh download is work around AOL. The security set up in the new addition may be preventing the programs from getting through."
