Management Changes

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

"My congrats to Ted and Luc on their promotions. Good job guys! But I am disappointed that Barry and Justin can not work things out between themselves. I implore you both to get back to the ""table"" and come to an agreement. I don't like to see people leave under those circumstances, which I don't know the details of, but when real life gets in the way I totally understand. I just hate to see good folks leave a good company. Once again, PLEASE work it out if possible. I'm sure I speak for all of us in the ""trenches"". I hope this message doesn't make someone mad or get me fired but that's just how I feel."

<!--QuoteBegin--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Justin Erickson is no longer the VP of Globe Cargo VA after irreconcilable differences arose between himself and myself as CEO. <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> I feel I am being portayed in an innacurate light with the above comment (from the News forum announcement). This implies that I had a problem with Barry being the CEO which was never the case. I don't feel the differences were irreconcilable and offered for us both to cool down but was promptly removed as VP. Many thanks to all those who supported me as your Vice President. Justin

"I agree, you were removed pretty fast and nobody in the admin was ever informed of the problems. Maybe we should talk about it in the admin forum...."

I think even with Ralph retiring from the airline that he keeps his finger on its pulse. There always changes in VA's with its staff and that means fresh ideas and sometimes change is good.I have been here from day one but had to take a break from flying for awhile but I never left the site.I always was checking the forum to see what was going on.This might not be a 500 pilot VA but execpt for a few I have seen this VA is very advanced in its planning and pireps.I plan on being here awhile and hope everything settles down. When Ralph decided to transfer responsibility of the website to another person i. e. Barry, I think it was a thoughtful decision. And taking this responsibility means of course that a new CEO will guide this VA by his personal knowledge, his personal experiences and his personal vision which might be involve changes of his staff. In my opinion transfering responsibility means also to trust in this and further more to respect decisions of the ""next generation"" which I am not able to overlook just after a few days a new CEO was inducted. I think it's not the right place here to discuss or talk about facts which are not completely known to the public. I would recommend to respect Barry's decision which he probably did not made very quickly. Let us take this cut as a chance to look forward and learn from awareness of facts we had made in the past. Mike"

"With respect Mike I disagree. All administrators are giving their free time because we love this VA. I came in not too long after it started and have been involved either as a pilot or an admin ever since. I also worked with Justin and everything whent well. I think all the administrators should have been consulted. As far as change, the purpose of this airline was to fly the 742 and to emulate the Polar and Atlas company. I think we should keep doing that but that does not mean I am not against some changes. But I think that as far as radicals changes goes, those who what us to do a 180 might consider starting a VA that would suit them. As far as the incident with Justin I agree it would be better to discuss it in the admin forum but alas Justin does not have access."
