"Awesome Craig! Thanks! I've tracked a lot of these routes with FlightAware.com, as well as listening to them on LiveATC.net."

"Thanks Craig, much appreciated. Got a question about PANC. I'm like Ted and use Flightaware to watch flights sometimes. The other night I was looking at flightplans out of PANC and there where two Polar flights one to VHHH and the other to RKSI. I started messing around the Polar website and it looks like that they are hiring postions up in Anchorage. Is Polar going to start using PANC more frequently maybe as a stop point. Just curious!! <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo-->"

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> PACOT is the Pacific equivalent of the NATS system. If they're travelling on a non-PACOT route, then it is an established route not a Flex route."

Thanks Craig. That's great. DO you have a route for ZSPD - EHAM?

The routes are posted. Craig"

"Chris, I understand that specific cargo loads on specific flights consitute a company secret and could not be listed here. However it would be handy if we could get a general ballpark guide to relative cargo load levels on different routes. This could be as simple as listing them as Light, Medium, or Heavy. Just enough to give us a rough idea of what kinds of loads are typicall on different routes/legs. Of course, I guess that it could be the case that there is no typical load, and that one week the route from KORD to RKSI might be light and on another it might be so heavy that a stop in PANC would be required. If that is the case, then we may as well go on guessing randomly as we already do. In any case, I am just curious. Andrew"

"Andrew, There is no secret to payloads. The payloads vary from flight to flight. On average if you want guidelines you can plan as follows. Flights into and out of South America - Max Payload The US to Far East - 40-80 tons. Lax is less usually about 20 tons. The Far East into US - Max Payload 90-110 tons Far East to Far East - 6o-90 tons The US to Europe and back - 80 Tons These are just ballpark figures. Payload varies due to winds and routings. Craig"
