"Hi all, This is a message I am sending on behalf of my nephew who is a real 747 captain. He is urgently looking for a (real) flight engineer with an FAA licence to ferry a 747-200 out of EGSS Stansted to Asia. This could interest a retired FE available next week for 4 to 5 days, All expenses are paid, of course. If you know someone who could be available for this short mission please contact lev@vtxnet.ch. Again, this is real life. No joke. April 1st is still 1 week away! Thank you Luc"

Thanks to those of you who offered to help. The flight eng has been found. I know more about the project: a 747 200F (1974) has been sitting at EGSS for 4 years following a bankrupcy. It has been bought by a freight co which is planning to send it to EGPK for gear check and then to Jakarta for revision. EGSS - EGPK should be flown this week with the gear down all the way! They are waiting for final paper work and checks... Luc

That would make for a fun Atlas repositionning flight. To fly with the gear down at a maximum of 250 knots. :D
