Question for the Brits
I have a friend who needs to go from Heathrow to Gatwick. He is arriving at LHR from Rome and then going to New York from LGW. What's the best way to go? Taxi? Subway? Is there a shuttle? He has a 4-hour connection.

"I think you can go in 2 different ways: When I went to Heathrow, I had a connection in Gatwick for Charlotte. We jumped onto the National Express Gatwick-Heathrow Bus which I believe goes to all 4 Terminals at Heathrow and the North and South Terminal at Gatwick 24/7! Also, there is an Underground Tube service which takes you from LHR to London Victoria station, from here you need to jump onto the National Express Airport service bus to Gatwick! (This is the cheapest option, but not as convenient!) Best bet would probably do what we did and jump on the National Express Airport bus from LHR-LGW I think however, the fare is something bizarre like £20 for a single trip for one adult The journey is scheduled to take about 1hour and 15minutes but I think for planning purposes, I would leave something like 1-2 hours for that journey Hope this helps!"

Thanks guys. It'll be 3 of them so maybe a taxi is not a bad idea.""rossspargo" wrote:Yeh! The Taxi is something pathetic like £70 I can only remember that it was about £20 for each of us to go to Gatwick via the Bus
