"I had been a loyal customer, and had bought a copy of each product PMDG offered for FS9. However, that wasn't enough to get me out of forking over 25 or so Euros for new keys. I forgot all about my payware during a recent reformat and didn't make copies. Don't forget to make backups  J"

"Same thing happened to me, It was complete bull crap, especially for the 747, that is $70, the least they could do was throw in extended download service in the price.... And all I got for a response was, " It is not our fault you failed to back up your files." (my Parents computer's hard drive imploded, and I lost everything about a year and a half ago, I almost blew up) Dang PMDG and shady practices. (great products though, please don't kill me "PMDGods" :x )"

"In a way, they are right. We should back up our files. But on the flip side, they make money because we buy their products. It seems that these days, customer servive and clientele is no longer important. :!:"

"To me, I know they have financial records. Back when I was in business, a customer from two years prior could call me, give me their name, the location I did the job, and in 30 minutes or less, I could call them back and produce their master copy of the invoice. I know PMDG can do it in 30 seconds... So in a way, yes we should back up files, but they should realize we were a paying customer at one point and probably will be again someday. Once a customer, always a customer. Someday competition will get tougher and they will wish for the repeat business, but when someone else is out there making better add-ons, it will be their own demise."

"Agree with that Bryan, but it.ll have to be one hell of an add-on to beat PMDG, I ,ve got one or two add-ons as well as PMDG , and nothing that I have found comes close apart from the ATR72-500 which is pretty detailed and quite complicated, but their FMC " Honeywell" isn,t upto the one in the 744. Anyway off to another training Flight on the ATR ! Safe Landings, Mike"

"James, I read your message and you are right, once I bought two iPod´s in Amazon online store, I needed those ipods in L.A. an specific day and paid 80USD for the special service(one day shipping and delivery). Two days after the purchase I wasn´t receive my package so I wrote an email to Amazon customer service, they wrote me a lot of emails, just excuses because they couldn´t deliver my package on time. The situation went out of the normal parameters so I decided to treat them like I must be done since the first contact. I wrote them an email asking for an answer, just two choices: 1.- Would be my package delivered on time in the right address, if the answer is "yes" please don´t contact me again and give me my package. 2.- If the answer is "no" please refund me the money. No more choices, I don´t live in USA but here this is a fraud. Inmediatly they came with the answer "Yes sir, the package will be sent to the right address on time". This is a fraud, they (PMDG) feel comfortable because they don´t care about one or two unsatisfied customers."
