First Flight - "Send PIREP" button NOW OK!

As I am a new pilot I chose a DHL flight number DHX0100, KBOI to KSLC. I completed the flight successfully but when I clicked on the "Postflight" button in the GCP it revealed a shaded "send PIREP" button but the "flight logged" button was available so I clicked on that and got a logged flight. But I am still puzzled with the fact that the "send PIREP" button was not available to me. This all after I shutdown the engines as required in the manual. I am not sure what I did wrong or whether the flight has been recorded on the website or not. I also entered the confirmation code and it told me "Flight not found". Probably I suspect because the PIREP was not sent. I'm not sure what my next step should be in order to rectify any possible mistakes I have made in using the GCP program.

OK, searching the forums I did find a thread that talked about loading error messages with regard to the logbook. I got these error messages when I started the GCP program. It was suggested to download the update to GCP, version 2.2.1. I did that and GCP now loads without the error messages. I can now get a red "send PIREP" button and it looks like that problem in my original message may be fixed. I'll find out when I do another flight using GCP. In the meantime is there any way I can get the PIREP for DHX0100 confirmed be it manually or otherwise, using the logbook entry I created? Or do I have to refly the flight and resend the PIREP?

Tom, if you have enough data on your logged flight, we can manually enter the flight. Or if the data is not on the logged flight, if you can provide some information that you may have written down, such as fuel used, block out and block in times, etc, we should be able to do that as well.

If you completed the flight you can reload the data by going to File->Load Flight... Then select the file of your flight. The file names are in the format of Flight#-DEP_ARR-FSDate (PO871-KLAX_VHHH-20071203). If you have never sent the pirep for that flight the Send PIREP button will be green and you can send the PIREP.

Thanks Justin, I did recover the file in my flights folder. The PIREP button was green and I sent it. But I still cannot confirm the flight for some reason. I entered the confirmation code and got the message "Flight not found" again. So, the PIREP has been sent but I am not sure where to check to confirm that it is valid? Thanks again to all of you for your speedy replies. Much appreciated.

Guys, I have now been able to "confirm" the flight and everything looks OK. I just cannot see the flight posted in my PIREP list yet. I assume that is not an instantaneous function. Thanks to all again for your patience.

No, it is instantaneous. If you can't see it then there is something wrong. Did you check your login info? Was there any error? I just checked the log and I don't see your flight in there. When did you try to submit it? Using GCP I assume?
What I do see in the log is an entry from today:
[ERROR 09.12.07 15:00:03] Pilot not found - Pilot
That could be you without having a proper pilot number set in GCP...

Thank you Tomas, that was my problem. For some reason a had to re-input my setup for GCP and made sure my Pilot number was correct, then I resent the PIREP and it now shows up in the Roster under my profile. Everything seems to be working as it should. That means I'm good to go now and hopefully I'll have no more problems in sending my PIREPS. Thanks once again to all for your help with this.
