New guy here that downloaded gcp221 and it will not install on my Vista machine. During the install process I get this error:

The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C\Windows\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.VC80.CRT_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.1378_xww_5c7e3652.
The installation cannot continue. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator.

I have administrator privileges on this machine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks...

This has been reported before and I have a new installer waiting to be tested on a vista machine. I don't have Vista so I am unable to test it.

Justin,

If you send it to me, I'll give it a try and let you know if it works.

Michel just tested and it worked! I'm just waiting now for him to complete a full flight to verify it works as advertised on Vista as well. If all goes well I will upload this new installer tomorrow for all the Vista users (the installer is for XP as well).

Question, will this installer correct any of the little problems I have seen with the program??? I am an XP user.

Not deleting save flights in FS and PMDG (I do have that box marked yes in the set-up area)

No downloading flight information.

Not sure if a panel state was ever placed in the system but none have ever downloaded for N418MC, I have even saved flights and panel states plus the program has done the same with the auto save and they do not seem to download on my next session a day or two later.

Entering everything manually is working fine and sending to the site perfectly minus the above problems.

Tomas just fixed the December flights not appearing issue. The problem was somewhere in the script on the server rather than GCP. I'll look into the other issues.

Another updated, the issue regarding the upload of panelstates has been found and fixed. The problem was in the script on the server and requires no change to GCP. The problem of downloading panelstates I am looking at now as well as the fuel and gross weight being off on the 744X.

I was able to find my flight today for N499MC which I am using to fly in the Cross the Pond into Hawaii. Hopefully at the end I might be able to to check the panel state uploading.

Update on progress:
Not deleting saved FS and PMDG flights: when I had tested the deleting of flights before I think I only looked at saved gcp files. I found the problem with FS and PMDG files not being deleted and I have succesfully tested the solution. With the program code now being over 9000 lines long I will take some extra time to make sure everything regarding this issue is as it should be.

No download flights: fixed, caused by the same issue of the deleting flights.

Panelstate: fixed.

December flights not showing in the list: fixed

We are also looking into breaking the flight list down to legs. In the current state, a multi-leg flight is shown as the first leg only, requiring all subsequent flights to be manually entered. When breaking flights into individual legs, the same flight number will appear in the list but the departure and destination will match an individual leg.

Sometime in the not so distance future we plan to add automatic flight confirmation which would remove flights that you have completed from the flight list downloaded by GCP. My own lists shows a number of flights that I have completed a long time ago so it's not so easy to determine exactly which flights I need to do.

I'll hold the release of this update until I can accomplish more testing and verify some code. As long as I'm not called to fly it shouldn't take more than a day or two.

I found a temp fix until Justin releases the new one.

Install the update... At least it worked for me.

Hope this helps until the true fix.[/list]
