I completed LH8630 (EDDF-GOOY) saved the flight, generated the PIREP but both 'Send PIREP' or 'Flight Logged' are greyed out.
Any suggestions?

Is all the Postflight tab data filled in? The flight needs to have blocked in before a pirep can be sent and logged in your logbook. Had you tried sending the pirep before but it didn't show up on the roster and you are trying to send it again? The Send PIREP button is deactivated after GCP sends the pirep once.
A pirep doesn't need to be generated when filing via the Send PIREP button. The Generate PIREP option in Tools is for sending the file to your RM to manually submit the pirep.

The Postflight tab is filled in but the Send PIREP and Flight Logged buttons are grey out. The flight is in my logbook. The Send PIREP button does give me the option of sending the PIREP even after re-loading the flight. So after I selected the Generate PIREP option the Send PIREP button will remain grey out?

No, generating the pirep won't have any effect on the Send PIREP button. Somehow, either block in wasn't sensed or the system thinks you had tried to send the pirep already. There's a trick to the latter. Go to your GCP main folder, then to Flights. Open the file of the flight in question (DEP/ARR_Flight#_FSDate.gcp) in notepad or wordpad. It's just a text file. Find the line that says Pirep Sent=1 and change it to 0 and save. Now open that flight in GCP and see if the Send PIREP button is now active.

Loaded flight 5Y8630_EDDF_GOOY_20071216.gcp into Notepad. Checked the Pirep Sent=1 and found nPirepSent=0!!!

Ok, that means it's not inactive because of an attempt to upload before. I just realized another possibility. Is the Send PIREP button grayed out or just red text on the button? If it's grayed out then a non GC airline may have been selected or GCP is operating in offline mode. To check for a GC airline, on the Preflight tab make sure the airline you have selected has a "*" following the name in the dropdown box. The "*" indicates it is a Globe Cargo airline and will activate certain online features including the send pirep button. If that isn't the problem check Tools->User Setup->Operate GCP in ONLINE Mode? is set to Yes or you can verify operating in online mode in the lower left corner of GCP.
If you continue to have issues, send the generated pirep (go to GCP main folder->Logs->Flight#_DEP-ARR_FSDate.txt) and email that to your RM for manual uploading. Check the send pirep button again after the next flight and if it's still inactive let me know and we will work on it more.

I needed to set the option Tools->User Setup->Operate GCP in ONLINE Mode? to Yes
Thanks for your help.
