Info line on acars map

Here is where the coffee machine and Coke machine are kept. Please clean up after yourself and do not remove the magazines from this area. A good place to exchange thoughts with Operations personel and other pilots.

Info line on acars map

Post by Gary »

Hey guys,

I seem to have continuing problem regardless of which reporting tool I use, be it FSFK, FSACARS, or the new GCP. Each program tells me I'm connected w/ FS and ready to proceed but when I do I only get a flight callsign on the map and never an info strip.

As I type this I'm GY105 from the Midlands to Ankara and the callsign displays in the proper place on the map but no info--I'm concerned it is also not transmitting to GCV so I'll try to send an end of flt pirep.

Anyone have an idea of what steps I may have missed to get things going correctly.
I normally plan the flt in FSBuilder, export it to FS, then start FS and insure everything is good to go including fuel changes, brakes set, etc; and then lastly start (GCP in this case) and fill in the appropriate blocks, press the green button, minimize GCP and return to FS for taxi.

Thanks for any input
Gary

Gary, I don't know if it matters, but on the pirep software, you should be typing in 5Y105 for the flight number. You indicated GY105 in your post.

Well, not sure in that case. You might want to get with Tomas and double check your various settings and templates. Not sure why it's doing that. Probably something really small.

This is a very strange problem that I haven't seen before. I doubt it's an issue with any templates because it happens with FSACARS and GCP. What's strange is that the flight number makes it to the website but nothing else. I think Tomas would have to look to see if there's anything in the error log on the server maybe. I'm sure your flights would log properly. Can you send a pirep in with either program and does the pirep show correctly?

If anyone else has this same problem now would be the time to post so we can figure out what's wrong.

I sent a pirep at the end of yesterdays flight to Ankara. GCP said it sent off OK.
