PIREP Program... Help !!!

I am running FSX and ......I have flown two (2) flights so far with the PIREP program and have not been able to submit them because, it appears, my landings are not registering.

I enter all my preflight info, I takeoff, I View the info on the "in flight" tab of the program and all seems to be registering fine. (HOWEVER, could some one confirm for me that it is correct for the box in the lower right hand corner of the PIREP program to be saying "Ready for Departure" even after I have departred?)

After I land, I go to the "Post flight tab" and although the "Submit PIREP" button is green, the "Time-in / Time-on" fields are blank.

I have tried to submit the reports; I didn't get any error or response from the program, but I doubt they went through.

Does Flight Keeper work with FSX?

Also, is there any manual way to upload reports when you have crashes like this?

Any help would be appriciated.

GCP has been tested to work in FSX and unfortunately it is the only PIREP program that does work with FSX as of now. Did you do the flight from start to finish or did you stop in between and load the flight later to finish? Do you have FSUIPC installed in FSX? It seems as though you do otherwise you would be getting some other errors.

I checked your logs and there are no flights in there. Pireps may be manually submitted to your RM. Include all information that would show up in the pirep on the website.

Both

The first flight I flew straight thru w/ a pause my Radar Contact, but FSX or PIREP was never closed.

The second time, there was a problem, I had to restart both programs.

I'll keep at it, I just wanted to confirm two (2) things:

1. The box in the lower right hand corner of the PIREP program should be saying "Ready for Departure" even after I have departred?

2. I get a "logbook could not be found" error when I start PIREP. (I assume, because I have no logbook yet) I hit okay, and all seems well, just wanted to confirm that was normal.

1. Yes, that will stay there until it is replaced by another message.
2. You are correct. No logbook.txt has been created yet and therefore can't be found.

When restarting a flight that's already in progress, start FS and load the flight. Then start GCP and go to File->Load Flight... and select the flight, tail no. FS time ("N453PA 0251") of the last save (highest FS time). Then be sure to click "Connect to FS" button in GCP for logging to continue. If you fail to push that button, GCP and FS will act like a date gone bad, they just don't talk to each other. In fact, they will pretend the other doesn't even exist ;)

i had that problem awhile back but Justin resolve that issue with the updated GCP program...the only way i could get the program to log the landing was to load the saved flight say 10 minutes from the arrival then on landing stick it hard and i do mean hard in the range of 500 to 700 fpm then the program "saw" the landing and i was able to send it...if you do get a pirep to send i would suggest a re-install of the program using the newest file available Jan.05 i believe...if all else fails load your last saved file then go to Tools/Pirep/generate and send me the resulting log and i will get it posted for you.

Well, I flew my flight again in FSX with PIREP, FSACARS and FS FLighttracker running. FSACARS worked !! However, PIREP still didn't.

This time at least the Time in & Time on did show up, I just couldn't send. I decided to send a could of screenshots of my pre & post flight screens to see if that gives you gentlemen some clues.

Thanks!!

I see that the In time is not posted on the top screenshot. For the In time (and therefore Block time) to be triggered the parking brake must be set, which is appears it is, and all engines shutdown. It gets the engine shutdown trigger off the fuel flow from each engine so it may take up to a couple seconds after switching the fuel cutoff to off before it recognizes engine shutdown.
