it has been brought to my attention by one of our pilots that he didn't receive the "Bids Open" email yet after placing his bid he did receive the confirmation mail...maybe something on the site so any pilot that did not receive the bidding process open email please contact me and i'll compile a list to check...BTW for those of you who didn't receive the mail the bidding process is now open..

I did not get the "bids Open" email, I did get my confirmation email after I had placed my bid.
I did place my bid pretty much imediately I became able to ( I happened to check page 5 mins from my bid time so waited for it to count down), so I don't know if that would affect whether I got the email or not.

It might be a good time for everyone especially our new guys to realize that you cannot depend upon getting an e mail for bids or confirmation codes. It is just something we have had to deal with for quite some time.
This is why it is always a good practice to check the forum regularly for anything that might pertain to bids etc. I have received e mail on some months and others I did not. This has been the norm for many months and its something we just have to get used to. We have an excellent site and probably more automation that any VA I have seen. The e mail problem is minor if you remember not to depend upon it for these issues.

Also, please check that your email program allows emails from *@globecargova.org to pass thru the spam filter. This has been the case for some people before that wasn't receiving emails. Sometimes your ISP will block emails before they get to your email program which also causes the problem and there isn't much that can be done about that. Our old site had a lot of email issues and since moving to the new site many more people receive the emails but not all.
