Nopers,
I checked with the Engineers last time we had one through here,
Qantas Branding has refused to allow Atlas aircraft to be painted in QF colours.

I think it is mainly because our safety record :)

Hi Mike

Whose safety record? They really do get above themselves sometimes I think - Qantas that is.

I guess you can afford to when you have the best safety record in the world :)
85 years without a major accident :)

Something they want to protect, i can understand that.

Haha
I knew you would ask this :)
No, it doesnt, as Qantas paid a shiatload of money to fix the airframe, so it was called a incident,
Not a accident as the airframe wasnt written off :)
No one was injured, except for day old chicks in the front haul.

This is also the reason why no one without a asic is allowed in the cockpit, as the FO has his Girlfriend of a few days in the cockpit and she can be heard screaming on the black box recording :)

Tricky, but like i said, no Major Accidents :)

I know all this as i work for Qantas and have a interest in it :)

Yeah Mike, just stirring.

I love Qantas as much as anyone here. There is nothing like seeing that big red tail come taxying in, - especially when you're overseas and the airport is filled with strange tails.

I heared about 100 mill to fix it? Was it the origional "Longreach"? I can't remember
