Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson flew into action quite literally over the weekend when he was called upon to rescue stranded British holidaymakers from Egypt.
Holiday company XL Leisure Group went into administration last week, leaving 85,000 tourists stranded.
Dickinson is a captain for Astraeus Airlines and previously had worked for nine years for British Airways
He flew into in Sharm-el-Sheikh in Egypt and rescued people on Saturday and then immediately flew back to the Greek Island of Kos to pick up more strays.
Earlier this year, Dickinson piloted Iron Maiden`s charter jet during the band`s world tour.
