New Question.

Should we file a report with our RM or Chief Pilot if we have any type of non maintenance incident?
You didn't hear it from me, but some pilot of ours, with an Irish First name, and a German last name
Diverted to BDL, but landed with less than min fuel due to a Nor'easter.
Shouldn't we tell someone in management about that? Seems like that would keep with the realism we strive for

It would be nice to let your RM or the Atlas Manager if it is an Atlas flight that you diverted because of weather or other reasons. That way if we look at one of your flight and it does not match we will know and understand.

A huge yes on the divert. I need to know if its an Atlas or DHL flight so I can adjust the schedule accordingly.

Okay, Bryan.
If that's the case, I had to divert to BDL yesterday. As I type this I am prepping to fly back to JFK. It just started raining, so I'll have to check the weather again, but it should be okay.
Oh crap... I think I just blew my anonymity.

Kevin, when you complete your BDL>JFK flight, go ahead and submit both pireps. No reason why you can't get credit for the time since it was in the commission of completing a flight that was scheduled. I will keep your flight up on the board until I hear from you on arrival at JFK, so let me know when you get there.
Thanks

Sorry, I already arrived. GCP was inactive, and I couldn't send the second PIREP. It kinda sucks too. My T/D was SMOOOTH!
The pick of my FMC shows the times from BDL to JFK. Adding 40 minutes of extra time added to the 7:04 gives me 7:44 from PANC to KBDL and KBDL to KJFK.
Hope that helps

No problem, if you can reclaim all your numbers, submit them to your RM so you can get the credit if you want to. I don't do the pirep submissions unless its a last resort as that is the RM's territory.

A more important reason to notify Bryan in the case of a divert is so he can mark your flight as complete. In any case where you land anywhere other than your final destination the Atlas/DHL charter board will not recognize that a flight has been completed. The behind the scenes code to automatically confirm the completion of a flight requires that both the departure and destination match in the pirep with that of the flight on the board. Because a divert changes the destination on the first leg and the departure on the second leg (neither dep/dest match the board) the flight has to be manually marked complete by Bryan.
Without doing this, the board will prevent you from selecting another Atlas/DHL charter and can lead to frustration if you don't realize why your previous flight was not marked complete.
