Hello everyone! :D I just came up with an idea. I think it would be great to create a database including add on scenaries for all of our destinations including freeware and payware scenaries. I can write the info but I don't know all the scenaries available so maybe you can help me out. :D This way actual pilots and new pilots can just visit the database, look for their departure/destination airport and see which scenaries are available.

For example:
  • KLAX: Payware - SimFlyers and Cloud 9
    Freeware - xxxxxxx
What do you think? Do you think it's a good idea?

That's a great idea Carlos. When you are done with the initial database please send it to me and I will make a page for it. Please include links where to download the freeware scenery and links to where you can purchase payware scenery. If it works out, on the database website page I'd like to have some sort of rating system where pilots using that product can weigh in by rating the product on a scale of 1-5.

Sounds amazing! :D

I know I can find our destinations in our site, but is there any way I can find all of them? Like a spreadsheet or something?

We can get you the spreadsheet of all airports in our database, active or not. Be warned, there are many many airports. Otherwise, you can look at the front page of the Polar route schedule to see a more condensed list. However, that doesn't cover Atlas/DHL charter airports.

Ok, then I'll begin with the Polar destinations and after that's done, I'll start working with Atlas and DHL. I'll start working on in as soon as I can.

As far as I'm concerned, Fly Tampa has the best graphics. Anothe cool thing is AES from Aerosoft. It's really fun.

Carlos if you wanna split the load or something, let me know. Your best bet for freeware scenery is on avsim. As for payware, I would go to simmarket.com and type in each ICAO code you're looking for. In addition, I found this site awhile back which may reduce your workload quite a bit in terms of finding free scenery: http://walhalla.mine.nu/fs2004.php

It's a brilliant idea indeed. That's how it works at BAV: http://www.freewebs.com/mpinson/. You might want to use this website to get some information that is relevant for us as well :)

It would be great if you could help me :D Maybe I can do Europe and Middle East, and half of North and South Americas (ANC to JFK) and maybe you can work on the rest of North and South Americas (LAX-YQX) and Asia and Australia. What do you think?
