I have been using three 19 inch monitor with tripple head to go. Most of the time i dont use the three screens for flying. I am considering a 24" or 26" inch for flying and then one 19 inch for moving map ect. Here are the questions:

- Is the wide screen view ok? I see some of you have them
- any reason not to get a 26" vs. 24"

Thanks for your info

Peter you ever hear the saying - "go big or go home" It applies here :!: I have a Gateway 24" Widescreen and am currently dreaming of a 32" Sharp w/1080p.

I have no issues with the widescreen view.

24" here as well, it does skew panels not made with wide screens in mind but after a bit, you do not notice at all. Newer panels will of course support wide screens by default from here on out I would guess.

I have ana 24 LCD and I like it but find that the quality is a little bit less than the old big heavy ones that had crispier images.

Peter

I have a 26" Samsung flat screen and it is brilliant. I still use the 19" monitor that I used before, and can thoroughly recommend using 2 monitors.

I think you would have to have a good video card to go with it, - (Mine is Nvidia GE Force 9600 GT and there are beter ones around).

With an AMD Athlon 64 X 2 dual core processor running at 3.25 GHz, with 4 Gigs of ram, - although it only seems to recognise about 3.25 gigs of the ram.

I run the desktops and the screens at 1920 by 1200 in FSX and everything runs great.

Regards
John

Peter, a word on those. I have one and its nice, but for the longest time, I was seeing all my icons on the desktop looking like they were smearing or blurring to one direction. I am not sure, but I suspect it was due to using "approved" wipes to clean the screen... So just be cautious on how you clean your screen. I am basically not touching mine until it gets so dusty it HAS to be done.
