Hey guys, for those who own 757. I read that the 757 block b is really laggy and FPS stinks...can anyone confirm this? How is the pro pack on FPS and whatnot?
Thanks
Joe

Actually, for me the 757 has more frames per second than the PMDG 747. Its something like 15fps in the 747 and 50 to 60 in the 757.
One problem I have is I cannot get the Lnav and Vnav to work in the 757. Its really ticking me off since I paid a total of $60 for it, and can't fly it. And of course CS support has been SO helpful
Any Ideas? I have the FD on, Autopilot on, AT armed, and both buttons depressed. Plus a full route in the FMC, that shows up on the HSI.

From my experience, the CS757 is one of the worst planes I have with respect to frame rates. For that reason I used the PSS757 on my first official GC 757 flight. Unfortunately the PSS757 FMC doesn't use airways or at least I can't get them to work (I did update airac to the latest) so my next 757 flight I will use the CS model. I don't know what it is about the CS model that drops the frame rate, I assumed it was all the extra exterior visual animations, but it does have a lower frame rate than any other model I have...with probably the CS727 close behind

i installed this about six months ago.
- good eye candy +
- cant see out out the front - the pannel is to large -
- had a few questions - they will not answer e-mails, no support -
after two or three flights it is sitting in the hanger

Their support isn't the greatest, but they did answer what little questions I had about the 727 and the 757. I haven't experienced a frame drop with CS aircraft but I've noticed that they don't get along with FSUIPC. When it comes to engine starting for example, the 727's engines will not start with FSUIPC on. You'll have to disable FSUIPC and then start the engines.

so it sounds like the CS 757 is a bust? is there a differents between the fs9 and fsx? What i mean is, in fs9 do you still get the big frame hit and whatnot or is this just a fsx thing?

The FS9 model has the frame rate hit also which is what I use. I wouldn't say the CS model is completely a bust because there are some nice things about it. The overhead panel, for example, is really nice with graphics that make it look realistic.
However, I was recommending the PSS model until I did my first GC flight with it when I found the FMC didn't like any of the airways I put in it for that route. Maybe I'm doing something wrong because I think the 777 can use airways and the 757 is of the same design. I'm not sure about that tho.
The version you pick will end up being your own decision because there are a number of things to weigh between the two that different people put different levels of importance on. It's going to be a tough decision.
