Question to all about this product. First what do you think about it??? More importantly, does this fix the trouble with FSUIPC4 in FSX with PMDG?

I would love to transfer over completely to FSX but 2 problems keep me from it and they may be related to the weather. Right now I am using the default download weather from Jeppersen and I am getting what every one else report but no fixes seem to come out with extreme erract heading and altitude changes. I was curious if ASA corrected this. Oh if there is a fix out there for this please let me know. I turn off FSUIPC the weather comes back and the problems with it unless I run with no weather and selecting FSUIPC weather setting off from the main registration tab (whatever its called)

Oh the second problem is those OOM errors or CTD's and/or complete restarts of my computer with PMDG. Now I am seeing them with FS9 occasionally. Tried the miracle tweak didn't work for my system. I really wish PMDG would seriously address these more than they have. Not too big a problem here thanks to Justin's GCP and the saving of the flight ability in that program, just a big hassle to have to restart. But with my VA I have to restart my flight or give up and just jump seat to the destination.

Well, Mike..I'll bite.
To answer your first question. I would say the answer is hard to answer with that broad a brushstroke.
I believe the answer(s) are as many as there are system configurations. I have seen in my setup an improvement w/ASA albeit not perfect, but definitely acceptable here.
I have not expected weird stuff regarding erratic heading and altitude changes.
Now, to address the OOM/CTD related to their products....hmm. I have mixed experiences there. I have experienced no problem(s) in FS9 with the whale.
I have had problems w/the Maddog (FSX) in Vista and WinXP SP3 CTD for no apparent reason. And I have realized no help or answers. I wish the issue would be
fixed as well. I have experienced this anomaly only with their titles, no others.
I am getting ready to use the whale (FSX) and I am a mite bit nervous, as I do not want to CTD and have to restart...wince..
I wish that I or someone else had that magic pill or could wave their wand and make it all better....sigh!

Never had a problem with the PMDG 744X or the Maddog 2006 for FSX. I just reloaded ASA after applying the latest SP but now I get only 2 FPS when I load the Fokker 100. Not sure ASA is to blame but I'm about ready to uninstall it again and reinstall a clean version of FSX.

My reference to the Maddog was the MD-11 (PMDG).
I should have clarified, I apologize.

Well I ask because right now I only able to use default weather with FSX (no extra cash to layout on a Weather program right now) With the default download weather I see extreme heading changes and altitudes climbs and descends. I read somewhere that ASX or AS6.5 and PMDG are not play well together. Also, some speculated it was FSUIPC4 causing some of the troubles. Some were wondering if Active Sky Advanced would cure this in this forum somewhere. SO I was basically curious if this software helped to mitigate that. Its out now, and has been for a couple of months so I was curious if it was worth the money for me to purchase when money is available.

As for the my current troubles, I guess I will fly with no weather (clear theme) and FSUIPC off to avoid these troubles.

Currently I do have AS4.5 (I know ancient) and use it with FS9 and for the most part flawless flights.

I have ASA for FSX and the latest SP really makes the wind shifts more realistic. I havent had any issues to date.

+1 with ASA and FSUIPC. The wind shifts and temp changes aren't as drastic and makes for a more enjoyable flying experience.

I appreciate the input, when the money is available I will probably get it.
