I made the leap and purchased the PMDG MD-11 this weekend and flew a Fam-Flight from PHNL to KLAX. All I can say is AWESOME. This is a true "thinking man's" aircraft!
It's a shame that it hadn't been a more popular aircraft (only 300 made?). Having been designed and manufactured between the 767 and 777, it seems to have been a "stillborn" aircraft from the get-go.
As I anxiously await the inaugration of Titan, the MD-11F is in the hangar with the tug standing by for positioning on the ramp!

Ted-
I'm happy to see you've joined the Titan MD-11 ranks. I echo your sentiments that it is a thinking mans aircraft. There is definitely a sequence of buttons that has to be pushed to make the flight successful. As far as production goes there were exactly 200 of them made. So far 7 of them have been written off.
There is also endless things to learn with it. Last night I spent an hour figuring out how to refuel the aircraft through the FMS. That's a really cool feature!

Dave, do you know what the ICAO/IATA desginator will be for Titan(i.e. Atlas is GTI/5Y)?
And, I assume the callsign is "Titan". (That might be too obvious!
)

I don't know for sure. I think it will be TTN/ Titan, however, this will all be finalized with Justin's upcoming release and announcements.

The ICAO/IATA designators will be TTN and TA respectively. And the voice callsign is indeed "Titan".

I guess I was overstating the obvious....
