Ralf,
a good one that need to be posted on pmdg forum just for the fun ...
never seen that much number of posts deleted within a week ....
my concern is that PMDG is one of the leader in the add-on industry and they decided (not alone be sure about that ...) that only FSX is a go ...
i dont agree at all but you ll see in the future another lite version of products from PMDG cost less to develop and make money very easy ... and really they dont care about the people that are customers since the beginning they need cash and not from hard core simmers ... have you seen the numbers of questions on how to since a few times ???!!!
how the people can pay 25USD for repaints like the the -8 ?
anyway ill stay with the 747-400 not a bad one and remains far from FSX .. but that s just me

I just downloaded the new 747-8iF - the sound package is great - i like the look as well. I would suggest a petition to get the Polar colors on this new platform ( they have Atlas) rather than asking a company to work on old generation technology platform.

Believe me Ralf, PMDG only goes by their sales figures and hardly pays any attention to such things.
Unfortunately, the only things that change their minds are the sales numbers they have and nothing else.

Sales number ? changing their minds ... ???
nobody is able to tell how many combo MD11 FSX/FS9 were sold except PMDG and they re not talking about that for now ...!!!
md11 was the first quality add-on developped for this plateform and it was a top hit but wait for the next and we ll see ...
pmdg and others were in a band with Microsoft for a new platform and they paid a lot to be in (we call this franchise) ... now it s over and they need cash quick ... the selling of 747-8 livery only is a good cash coming if it s works ...
they paid a license to use boeing infos and datas and they need more money ...
in the beginning of the 2000's this license was quoted 10.000 usd for a french add on group i was in ..
you need to sell a lot before getting money back ...
pretty sure now it s more expensive plus the NDA for datas ie is more restrictive than before ...
all these make me wonder while i love my fs9 how long will it stay for all of us.
ps : i m not able to find FSX on the shelves in Québec .... that s mean a product is dead ?

Mr. Praprotnik
The new PMDG has new look on out side and new sound set - $25 appears to be reasonable.

Peter,
Do you always have to disagree in such a controversial manner that usually leads up to unhealthy and heated discussions? FSX is crap as far as I'm concerned and I will never swap it with my, finally stable, FS9. I have got loads of great add-on's FSX might never ever come close to. That's why I'm not getting to spend lots of money for some eye candy piece of s.i.e that will never be developed further
Most importantly though, I clearly stated in the tittle that this is a topic for people who are PMDG FS9 supporters/users ONLY. As far as I can see you are not one of them therefore this topic does not apply to you, does it?
. Take it easy matey, it's just a petition, it's 'just' a simulator. Besides, this whole action might turn out as a very valuable market research for any developer involved in this specific sector

1. I have both FS9 and FSX on my system - so your comment is unfounded
2. As HR director i would advise you to curb the language - using the word crap is on the edge

Don't worry John, it's not going to happen and we are still, luckily, far away from that. I'm hoping to get this language barrier
sorted out with Peter via pm and let's stick to the topic here.

Peter,
Crap is a highly accepted term, Ralph was not being out of line in his requests or posts and as far as I can tell, he was putting lots of smileys in there to try and keep it light. Alot of folks are not happy about this topic. You said your piece, lets keep it at that please. We do not want our forum looking like many of the others on the net that require a suit of Kevlar and a sidearm to enter a conversation.
Plus, No admins will be called out in a public manner as you did drawing attention to their position within the organization. That served zero purpose other than to inflame or embarrass. Not going to be tolerated.
I'm sorry to enter this thread in this manner, but it was obviously needed.
