Can someone show me the way to CP's office and then towards the remedial fuel planning 101 classroom?



Managed to roll it off onto the highspeed but had to be towed last couple hundred yards to the pad. Friends don't let friends fly without sufficient fuel.

Same here, it almost always matches my FMS. Too bad you get the annoying little pop ups when ever you want to do a calculation. And the fact that it STOPS the countdown when you click out of the program erks me. But, oh well. At least its "free"

The PMDG manual has very detailed fuel planning methodology and believe me it's not that difficult as it might seem I always do my calculations manually and I verify my results by using the FMC. To get the FMC verification spot on you need to enter en-route winds on the LEGS page (RTA Data). If you need a hand just give us a shout!

I agree with Ralf - the PMDG methodology is brilliant and well-worth taking the time over. It is not difficult at all. I spend around 30 mins. in pre-flight doing route weather checks and making the calculations in conjunction with Active Sky X and FSBuild. I find that there is seldom a big discrepancy between what FSBuild calculates and what I calculate. As a final check I use the FMC and all three calculations are often consistent with the other...of course I take the higher of the calculated values
