Pilot Duty hours

Hi

I am so pleased to be back here at GC.

I have been away workingand other things, and had no time but now am retired and have plenty.

Unfortunately I have developed an sight impairment so have trouble seeing details, such as IAS, Altitude etc. but a magnifying glass helps. Generally the operation of the aircraft is no problem.

I was looking for hour allowance for pilots, I'm sure they are here somewhere but can't find it. This might be useful if anyone wants to have a look.

http://www.flightsimaviation.com/data/F ... 1-471.html

Also can someone point to somewhere I can find how to open the .ptp files for the liveries to go into the PMDG ops. center.

Thank you
John

Welcome back John!

The link you found regarding flight time limitations is correct for what we have programmed. Not all of those limitations are programmed here though. We have programmed 100 hours in a month and 1000 hours in a year. To see your current totals, go to the Roster page on the website and click on your name to view your profile. Your accumulated totals for both flight time limitations are tallied there as well as a note of the maximum limitation.

In the real world however those linked flight time limitations are much different - except for cargo carriers who are still fighting to be included in the new "FAR 117" flight and duty time limitations. The new limitations are a nightmare and it literally takes a computer to do all the calculations, it would be extremely difficult for a human pilot to figure out legality on his own.

Next item, the .ptp files. Just open those right in the PMDG Ops Center software under repaints section. The Ops Center is programmed to read .ptp files.

Thanks Justin

I'll try again.

BTW I also hac a look at the iFly 747 and asked them when a freighter version will be available. They wouldn't say but apparently are working on it.

I have used their 636s for years and, to me, they seem to be far better than the PMDG.

Regards
