"Hi to all, I have today been recruited into the Eurpopean, Mid East, Africa division and hope to being flying with you guys on a regular basis. Any tips or hints to make life easier would always be gratefully received, likewise any help I can offer will be freely given. In real life I am an IT Project Manager and hold a JAP PPL and am part owner of a Piper Cherokee PA28-140 so do a bit of VFR flying in my spare time. IFR and ""heavy metal"" are stll a novel experience to me. Love the RFP 747-200 and the CIVA INS - so much more than Ctrl-E and away we go. Needs proper planning and thought which is the ""real as it gets"" for me. You'll probably find me on here asking dumb questions until I get familair with the Bidding and FSAcars but watch out when I'm on full throttle !!! Happy flying an regards to you all Barry <!--emo&--><!--endemo--> 1133"

Welcome aboard Barry. It is always good to see people who realized the value of the RFP addon and share the fun to fly with it.

"Just thought I'd just say hello as well as the newest member of this community <!--emo&^_^--><!--endemo--> I have been flying Ralph's 747s ever since the AETI 747, and it just keeps getting better and better! Currently I fly a modified RFP V2 with lots of added gauges (TCAS, the CIVA-INS and some other things), and I merged it with the Project Opensky visual model of the N924FT. I recently started flying on IVAO to get some human ATC, and I must say that as far as realism goes this is truly as real as it gets! I have a question though: do I have to wait until bidding starts wednesday or can I just pull a flight out of the open board and start flying? <!--emo&--><!--endemo-->"

"Greetings: I too am new to RFP and the VA - - very excited, though. In real life I am a CRJ-700 instructor at Horizon Air in Portland, OR. I just can't get enough of aviation - I spend all day imersed in it, come home and do the same! Sure is better than working for a living. <!--emo&:D--><!--endemo--> Looking forward to flying with all of you, Matt"

"Welcome Barry, Yannic and Matt, glad to have you aboard! <!--emo&:)--><!--endemo--> Now, when all the formalities are done, you're all invited to our Pilot lounge. Going on your first flight we will all be worrying about you guys coming back in one piece! And that will make us, old <insert the correct, respectful word here> very, very thirsty. <!--emo&:P--><!--endemo--> See ya all in the lounge! Good luck gentlemen!"

"<!--emo&:D--><!--endemo--> ya'll... y'all... thanks Mark. I think I'd better learn proper English grammar first. The one that sees ""colours"" instead of ""colors""? Oops, I don't want to open THAT can o' worms! <!--emo&:P--><!--endemo--> I guess we non-native speakers sometimes feel like orphans when we speak/write in English. I remember once being asked if I was from Wales!? Happened down under in Australia. Made me think... ok, I'll stop rambling, back to our regular programme. <!--emo&--><!--endemo-->"

So let's procede with this thread ... <!--emo&^_^--><!--endemo--> Being a long time admirer of RFP finally I made it to the RFP-VA and was accepted today - hoooray ! <!--emo&B)--><!--endemo--> A big hello from Munich to all you 'seasoned' RFP pilots - looking forward to many and hopefully safe flights ! Glad to be here ! Cheers Albert
